Booking Policy

When you make an appointment with us you enter into a contract which includes the following terms and conditions:

Mackie Road Medical Clinic is a private billing practice. We DO NOT prescribe drugs of addiction to patients new to our clinic.

Full payment of your consultation fee is required at the time of appointment and Medicare rebates will be processed as per your individual arrangement. An Accounting fee will be added to the invoice if the account is not paid on the day of service.

Increased fees apply after 5pm on weekdays, on Saturdays and on public holidays.

Please note: private vaccines, dressings, facility fees, 24ABPM hire fee, travel products and other medical consumables are privately billed.

Longer appointments are required for full health checks, pap smears, counselling and if you have more than one issue to discuss.

Childhood Immunisations, Travel Consults, Integrative Medicine, Procedures/Excisions, Dressings, Tests, Forms/Reports, Antenatal Visits, Counselling etc. can be only booked over the phone.

SMS appointment reminder service is available. However patients remain responsible for their appointment time and will be charged a cancellation fee for non- attendance whether they have or have not received the SMS reminder even if explicitly requested. Also it is the patient’s responsibility to advise us about changes to their mobile phone numbers.

We require at least 12 hours’ notice if you cannot keep your appointment. A cancellation fee applies to non-attendance or late cancellations (less than 12 hours prior to your appointment). This fee is not rebatable through Medicare.
