The Podiatrists that consult at Mackie Road Clinic have extensive experience within the health industry and provide a variety of Podiatric services. They work closely with patient GPs and broader allied health team to optimise care and wellbeing for our patients.
The Podiatrists at Mackie Road clinic provide the following podiatry services:
- General treatment including nail and skin care, corn and callus removal
- Wart treatment
- Biomechanical assessment
- Foot/Footwear assessments
- Diabetic foot assessments
Medicare Rebates
If you suffer from a chronic condition (e.g. diabetes) you may be eligible for a General Practice Management Plan (GPMP) and a team care arrangement (TCA). Your GP may choose to refer you to Podiatry services were under your TCA.
For details on Fees please see our Fee schedule here. If you have a valid Medicare referral (EPC/TCA) in place prior to your appointment you will receive a Medicare rebate, which can be paid on the day directly back to your account registered with Medicare, or back onto your Eftpos card.
Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA)
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) gold card holders will be bulk billed if eligible and no out of pocket expenses incurred for the consultation. If you are DVA eligible, please see your GP for appropriate referral.
Private Health Fund Rebates
Individual consultations may be rebateable through your private health fund if podiatric service is included in your cover. The rebate will depend on your level of cover, please call your health fund to determine what rebate you will be entitled too.
Cancellation policy
Please provide 24 hours notice if you are unable to make a scheduled appointment. Failure to do so may incur a cancellation fee.
